Centre

I’ve been doing a ton of fishing lately. I will do a post later of just pictures, but for now I’d like to talk about my first trip to a few famous central PA streams.

This past weekend my dad and I took our first voyage to fish Big Fishing Creek (BFC) and Spring Creek. It turned out to be an awesome trip. BFC wasn’t my favorite, however it did give up a 15″ brown and a 9″ brookie. I fell in love with the canyon section of Spring Creek. I got to see Fisherman’s Paradise, and got into quite a few fish on dries, missing about half of them. Also, on BFC, I saw from across the stream a small waterfall going into BFC. Of course, I had to wade across and see if there were any brookies in this stream. First cast and I immediately missed one! The stream was epic. It was choked with rhododendron, and was only 2-3 feet wide. I only landed one brookie, as it was kinda hard to do with a. 8’6 4wt!
